I have suffered from severe migraine headaches for 14 years (since the age of 13). I have tried everything including, tylenol 3, fiorinal, ergomar, migranal, imitrex, zomig...to name just a few. I was a frequent visitor to the emergency room for and injection of talwin and gravol, which didn't acturally relieve my migraines but it did knock me out enough to get some sleep. I had just about given up and accepted the fact that I would never have a normal life when my neurologist suggested that I try maxalt. He also put me on sibellium to take daily to try to lessen the frequency of my migraine attacks. I have only been taking both drugs for about a month now, but I am so amazed at the results. The frequency of my migranes has been reduced to one or two a week (they used to be 4-5 times a week) and when I do have a migraine, I just take 1 maxalt tablet and within an hour my migraine is totally and completely gone along with all the horrible side effects (vomiting, dizziness, sensitivity to light and sound, shakiness...) I hope that other people have found the same success with maxalt that I have.
