Thanx to Simon I got on to a website with a lot of info on grapefruit (juice). Ask him for the address for I lost it again.

GF influences the bio-availability of Verapamil and also of certain estrogens as are used in the contraceptive pill.

For Verapamil, habitually used for heart conditions, it means don't take grapefruit with it for it may increase the dose available to you in your body (unless you always took grapefruit with it before).
For those without heart conditions and "only" CH it may mean, try if you can get away with less Vera and a glass of juice.

For the contraceptive pill it means that the very finely regulated hormones of the (artificial) cycle are either slowed down or speeded up, so that the pill is not to be trusted any more.
