When did they change the rules for the VA hosp. My husband is a stoke victim and they wouldn't treat him two years ago because we have some savings. I really got upset and wrote everybody (and I mean every congressman and senator) in D.C. When we were there, the rules were that you couldn't make over $15K or have over $50K in assets. They required a tax return.
After my campaign, I got a call from the hosp and the guy told me if I'd put everything in someone else's name, he could qualify. I thought this was ridiculous - lie, cheat and steal! Please e-mail me with any new details you have.
