Many people have reported that change of seasons can bring on a cycle. It sounds like you had many sudden changes in your weather so I have to ask, was the wind blowing also. If so maybe dust or pollen in the is causing an allergic reaction that is triggering the pain.
Also saw your question below about the MRI...My opinion is yes you should have the MRI or CAT scan to at least rule out other causes. I say this because normally ordinary pain medications (you mention Advil) have no affect on clusters. Keep us informed.
