Choosing the right medications???

I've just been diagnosed. From everything I've read, there's no "Magic Bullet" in terms of medication... It's trial-and-error for most of us.

Having said this, it makes sense to start with the drug that has the least amount of potential nasty side-effects?

I'm looking for something to take during an attack only.... I'm not looking for anything that I'll take regularly to try to prevent attacks altogether.

Any suggestions?
