Sorry to hear of your discovery, the best alternative
I've found is Oxygen...Air tight mask, regulator set
between 7 and 12 lpm, and get to it as soon as you feel
that a 'HA' is starting.( you must get their as soon as
possible)..Long breaths through mouth and exhale
completly through mouth.(If you get there soon enough it will
abort the ha in 5 to 15 min.) You will here about several drugs
to help stop a cluster from starting and Imitrex (nasal
spray or shots) to abort the 'ha' but the most constant
abortive for me is O2..Hope this helps and hang in there!!
(Didn't mean to short Imitrex, its currently our best and in most
cases our only abortive along with O2) but can only be used twice in
24 hours.
