Try drinking a cup of warm water with a teaspoon of ginger (the spice) mixed into it. Swig it down all at once and have something else handy as a chaser to kill the taste. I saw another post a few days ago that suggested taking vitamin B2 at the same time as the ginger, presumably to increase the effectiveness, but I haven't tried the combination myself.

For me, this eliminates shadows, or, for that matter, anything up to about a 4 or 5 on the Kip scale, for about two or three hours. No side-effects, no prescription necessary, and dirt-cheap if you buy it in bulk. It can also be effective for mild migraines - I first heard about it from a migraine sufferer.

The downside is (for me, anyway) that it tends to mask the warning signs of the BIG bruisers... the 7 to 10 jobbies... so that they break through with very little warning.

If one teaspoon isn't enough, double the amount... I don't think it is possible to ingest enough ginger to do any damage to yourself, other than perhaps a bit of heartburn.

I have been using ginger for years to stretch out my precious supply of expensive Imitrex and Zomig pills. It may not work for everyone, but it is so cheap and so harmless that I figure everyone should give it a shot, just to see.

Good luck

pinky
