She ordered a MRI for the 28th and put him on Depakote. She said they have had good success recently in using this for blocking cluster headaches along with migraines as it is usually presribed for, as well as Bipolar disorder and seizure disorders. She still believes he is getting migraines as well as the clusters and said with this med she can hopefully kill two birds with one stone.
He will start tonight and take one pill at night for 3 days then up it to two pills a day. He has had a few stabbing pains today and I wonder if it's because he went to 3 pills on the prednisone today. Hopefully if this new med it going to work it will cross with him getting off the prednisone and before he gets any major attacks.
