Hi - I'm new to the list. Had a CH for the first (hopefully) last time about a month ago. Severe sudden L side pain, horner's syndrome, no problem with auras, light, or noise. I've had similar headaches before, but nothing like this - I'd never had to go to the doctor for them.
I don't fit the typical patient picture - 28 year old female, non smoker. Are there many other women with this? Is our pattern different?
Also, they treated me with oxygen (which helped a little) and then with 5% lidocaine ointment in my nose on the affected side. I haven't seen this treatment anywhere, but it was almost instant relief. It made me drowsy for a few minutes, but otherwise no side effects.
Hope you all can find something that helps you.
