I took amitriptiline for quite a while, for these and it does take some of the edge off of smaller ones for me, but I had big time break through attacks. Never prevented a cycle just made it about 1 degree less painful for 1 through 8's but the 9's and 10's were untouched.
I am glad it is working for you though and I wish anyone else well who trys it.
