I am a 45 year old man who has suffered from CH for over 25 years. They went undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for over 15 years. I read an article in Parade magazine one Sunday and said, "now I have a name for what I have."
Any way I have not had a cycle for 4 years until last weekend. I have only had 7 or 8 full fledged attacks so far, but 3 of them have been worse than any I can ever remember from the past. I had hoped they were gone for good after this long.
I saw my nuerologist today and he started me on prednisone, a calcium blocker, and gave me som Imetrix pills to replace the Cafergot I used last time.
Thanks for this site and for letting me ramble on. Having a place you can go and hear what others have to say means alot, especially when they know what you are going through.
