I don't have much history with verapamil, am using it for the first time this cycle. I take 240SR 2xd and it is working.
Probably the verapamil is not going to work for you, which is too bad. The med seems to have little side effects and there is just no CH after it kicks in.

Don't know your meaning of atypical, but I think if you have these things long enough (27yrs) they become unpredictable in the timing, meds that worked won't. From the posts on the board I see episodals, (which I am) go chronic for a period of time and then revert back. I had one cycle that went about 16 months and during that time had up to six attacks a day from the one that used to be the norm.

Wish you well and hope you find something that works for you, it seems to be a neverending search.
