Marcy, It's a hateful thing that you have to end up here but if it is indeed cluster headache you are suffering from, you have found your haven.
About your questions: I'd be very stupid if I tried some instant diagnosing on you, but...
There are many more women who get CH than previously thought. There are women who move from migraines to CH (often around menopause, as happend to me). There are people who have migraines and CH (most recent proof, a 9 year old boy on this board).
The best you can do, is look up all the medical info under the buttons on the left and print it out.
Try and get the books mentioned. And then cart all that stuff to your doctor and make him/her read it.
There are very, very few people with clusterheadaches in the world, if you look at pecentages. Doctors can be forgiven for not noticing. But rub their nose in it (gently and courteously) and they might respond.
What you need, is a sensible doctor and above all a GOOD neurologist. Ask the board for an address in your neigbourhood. If they know, they wil tell you.
