My wife has been taking prednisone for 4 years now in order to live. She is usually constant on 20 mg. Side effects are horried, but of course they effect people differently. We seperate often due to her deppression and aggresive behaviors. We have 2 children together that are also effected by this medication. It is very scary on the outcome of situations such as this. Prednisone is never safe, but most people take them in order to live. If one is on this for Arthoritis (spelling) for inflamation, I suggest other alternatives. There are inflammatories that one can have subscribed that do not have as severe side effects. My wife has Ulcerative Colitis. The only alternative for here is removal of the intestines. I have no real answers other than try your best to sty away from this drug. It is known to tear apart families and loved ones.
