Tried it, didn't work. I read an article about a year ago about a group of CH sufferers called Chili Heads. They were sticking habenaros and jalapeno peppers up their nose. Tried it-didn't work. I talked to a doc about this theory. Peppers contain capsacin which cause a numbing effect. you can get this same effect from zostrix cream used for arthritis. It's a topical analgesic. Tried it, didn't work, and one out of three times it made me sick to my stomach. There are other topical creams out there that might give the same benefit without the discomfort.

I will admit the peppers and zostrix caused some interesting things to happen which relate to some things I read about on the board this week. One it causes lot's of sneezing, some think this is helpful, also the pain in the nose and eyes served as a pretty good distraction from the pain in the head. (bite your nose to spite your face)

This is not meant to be critical. I sincerly hope it brings you and others comfort. I just wanted to share my experiences, because I have spent some time on this treatment. If it works for you I will gladly send you all the zostrix I own and start growing peppers for everyone.

Pain free days and don't give up trying.

If your interested in the study about Chili Heads I might have the print out at home. Just let me know
