Actuallly, my vision problem is due to cataracts, but slowly developing ones. (I am almost 60). My sister, like you, developed cataracts from prednisone. She was shocked to find out that was the cause of her blurred sight. And she was also relieved because her Temporal Arteritis can cause blindness if untreated. She had already lost some sight in one eye before her disease was diagnosed (by the two of us with the aid of a book on arthritis I just happened? to buy). All eye doctors should consider TA (aka Giant Cell Arteritis)when a white woman in her 50's complains of the symptoms my sister did.
Hope you can get your visual problems remedied soon. I will have surgery when I get the time and inclination to do it.
