I finally got around to asking my doc for a script for a device to "humidify" my O2 as some of our resident scientists here suggested.... My throat was getting raw from stage rehersals and I didn't need O2 "burning" it.
The silly little plastic thing only cost 5 bucks, screws on to the bottom of the regulator and works like a champ. I still carry the "E" bottle everywhere I go...water and all...it only holds about a pint or so and is very stable. I can't believe I put off getting this much needed addition to my O2 rig. I guess I pictured it would be some big old bulky medieval glass bottle thingy.
I like the bubbling too...reminds me of my "hooka days".
I'm considering adding ice cubes to test the "cooled O2" effects.
My O2 regulator has a small male to male coupling on it that acts as an orifice. It gets stopped up every couple months. I notice that my bag on my mask won't stay full at 8 lpm...so I soak it for a minute in isopropyl alcohol blow it out with my air compressor and its good as new.
God bless whoever discovered O2's effect on CH....and this site for letting me know about it.
