My husband is 56 years old, started to get these horrible headaches 4 weeks ago. Won't, i repeat won't go to a doctor...i seriously think they are clusters by description and watching him for the past 4 weeks. I myself am a serious Migraine sufferer, so i have a great deal of respect for the "headache that ruins you r life". Here's the problem, he is by trade a truck driver who starts work at 5 am. this means waking up at 3 to be at work on time. However, he has been on vacation this past week and has another week of it now. My fear is that he will never make it to work anymore, not that this would be a problem, the headaches come about 2-21/2 hours after falling asleep. If he goes to bed at 8 or 9, this means he is up around 10:30 or 11, and is usually up about 2 hours with the headache. By the time it is gone, he has to be back up for work at 3 am. not much sleep....and this is a man who is driving truck for a living on our nations highways....PLEASE HELP I must somehow find a way to get him to realize he needs to see a Dr. I know he is afraid, but we as his family are too...he took our 9 year old daughter on a short trip (about 2hours) one way, so they left the house at 5:30, and came home at 11:30 last night, she was petrified, he got a headache while driving back, and had to stop to buy some excedrin...she was afraid of him falling asleep at the wheel or crashing the truck...this is beginning to be very frightening, but he remains stubborn and foolish...if anyone has any ideas on getting him to see a Dr. please let me know...Thanks so much !!!
