Have had cluster headaches for 34 years. 13 years ago, Dr. Kudrow, bless his heart, put me on to oxygen. It works most of the time. My headaches come on once a day for 6 weeks, and then go away for 2 years. I would like something to shorten the 6-week period. Am now trying nifedipine. Does prednisone work? Also, does imitrex nasal spray work (in case O2 doesnt). Finally, during the 6 weeks, I have almost constant annoying sensation, minor pain, at the right temple. What is the cause of this and what works on it? Thanks.
