My daughter's new doctor wants to put her on Ritalin as preventative therapy for Migraines. She has had terrible, frequent migraines for the last 20 years and doctors have tried every other known preventative treatment without success, some of them causing side effects that were scarier than the headaches. Can anyone tell me if Ritalin might actually work to prevent migraines, and what the side effects might be ?
