Yes, I did it too! Most states are the same. It takes good, caring doctors and the documentation. It worked for me when I really needed it and I'm happy to say that I am back to work part time now. It is a hard battle. Get an attorney versed in this area of law. They can only take a specific portion of the "back award" if you win. It is outlined very specifically in the law to protect you. Social Security then has a back to work program to support you financially for the first 9 mos. when returning to work. Again the process is long but it can definitely work!
