Clusters and mood go together. There are neuro-transmitters ( such as serotonin ) in our brains that go a little whacky during a cluster cycle. Sleep, mood, headache, etc. are all related and are controlled by these neuro -transmitters. During a cluster cycle ( for me a 4 week period ) I go from euphoria to gloom to manic aggression and back again within seconds.
Your description of your mood swings are very familiar to me.
