Thanks for answering! It is so interesting that one type of triptan works for one type of HA & not another-wonder if the medical research drones have discovered this? Or maybe it's the chemical make-up of the individuals involved, or a combination of factors!
I agree about the nite stands-in fact,today I swept what was on top of mine into the top drawer becuz my bedroom looked like a sick-room!
I just took 5 mg. of maxalt a little while ago(I'm @ work)- I've been trying to get a migraine for the past week.One of my triggers is atmospheric pressure changes and here in Virginia we had the mother of all thunder storms last nite, and I think she's back for an encore tonight.
I'm glad I'm not the only one freaking out about the stroke and/or heart attack risk (albeit small,say the manufacturers)associated w/the triptans.I guess it's the lesser of 2 evils. I long for the day I can be med-free.
