I do not profess to know if this is true - I did read that there is a statistical association between age of onset and tendency to going chronic - how strong this association is or if it is true at all is maybe something our group on this site could shed some light on.
As someone who has always been episodic and coped ( often without any medication ) by knowing this beast would go away for a long period of remission, I can't even imagine how horrible it must be to be chronic.
