Verapimil shelf life

Just started getting my clusters again after 1 1/2 years of peace! My Dr. is out of town for a week, and I've GOT to get started on the Verapimil....I found a whole bottle in my cupboard, dated December of 1998 (my last series)...anybody know if there is any reason why they would not be okay to use?
