About 4 yrs. ago, my wife took me to the E.R. with one of the worst CH's i ever had and the good Dr. in the ER decided that i should be given not 1, but 2 shots of Demerol for the pain!! I had never been given demerol but heard how it "knocks you out" almost completely and immediately! Well it turned out that i evidently have some sort of allergic reaction to it and it kept me up bouncing off the walls, Literally, for 8 hours until it wore off!!! Ironically enough it didnt take the CH pain away and here i was suffering from the pain and unable to get rest after the CH!! I slept for 10 hrs. straight once it wore off! just thought i'd let you know
