Hi Sherrie,

I've been a clusterhead most of my life and 'till the mid 80's was misdiagnosed and mistreated like many of us. I finally got hold of a newsletter from the NHF that discussed O2 as an abortive for CH, got an understanding neuro to write a script for O2 and it has been my salvation ever since. It must be done right tho if it is going to work. Most important is to get on the O2 at the onset (within the first 10 minutes) of an attack. The flow rate must be 8 to 10 liters/minute with a full face non rebreathing mask. For me, the CH is usually aborted in 5 to 10 minutes but if it goes beyond 20, it's dance time. I've also devised a method to chill the O2 that seems to help with the more stubborn attacks and would be glad to share this if you'd like. Just drop me a email for the details. Good luck.

Kip
