When finding out whether I could take my oxy bottles across to England on the ferry, I also ran into this information: at least one major airline, KLM, is used to transporting people with oxy bottles.
Not so strange, for after all there are asthmatics and other lung patients who may need oxygen continuously.
You'll just have to call the airline for more info.
