I went to refill my Imitrex prescription today and it was declined by my insurance company. I called my doctor to get a different prescription until I am "allowed" to refill my prescription. The receptionist told me that she did not know of any other meds as good as imitrex, I informed her of this board and that you guys have all tried alot of different meds, she asked me to find out what other kinds so I can talk to the doctor about them. She then told me that if I am having to take 3-4 Midrain a day and 1-2 imitrex that is way to much medicine for one day and that I really needed to come in to speak with him. So I need to know other kinds of meds that will work for my appointment tomorrow. Also do any of you think that this is an abnormal amount of medicine to take in a 24 hour period? Please help and thank you
