It is not uncommon to have cycles like this. Some years they come like clockwork, really, you can set a watch to them. Other times they go away like mine did for 3 1/2 years. Some times they last only a week and mild, sometimes never really materialize and just a "shadow". Other years you think that your head is going to come off at the neck.
That's the trouble with these. The good news is you may find them to never come back again. Good luck in your old age. I am 44 and still having bouts but they don't come as regular as when I was 21.
