Enrique-

Imitrex package inserts say the limit per day is 2 doses....14/week rather than the 3-5 that you cite. As another post here points out, that's the US dosage...in other countries it's much higher.

I've personally taken 4 50 mg tabs of Imitrex in a 24 hour period with no adverse effects, and repeated this throughout the peak of my cycles.

Additionally, I've had several docs suggest opiods, even though they are "triptan proponents" to use your term. The difference is they don't have a web site and a practice built on just one therapy.

I didn't respond to your other post because your references were so far fetched. Certainly, if you have a reliable source of income and legally prescribed opiates, you probably won't break into houses or contract HIV. So what? You WILL still get addicted. Period, end of discussion, no argument is possible. I've had one relative and one very close friend become addicted thanks to the 'liberal minded' segment of the medical profession. Neither had CH, btw. It makes absolutely no difference whether you live in a cardboard box under the overpass or in a nice, upper-middle class community...addicted is addicted.

If narcs work for you, again I say great. But please, if you choose to champion this approach, also warn the unsuspecting and possibly less-informed people reading this board about the true risks involved.
