Kari, I know it probably doesn't help, but I DO know how you feel. I "used" to travel quite a bit and I do know how it is to be waiting in a terminal and a CH hit without warning, or be in the middle of a flight and not even be able to see to get to the lavatory and have to inject the Imitrex in front of everyone. Get a lot of funny looks, but at the time I didn't care.
I've been stopped several times for all the drugs I carry with me (DHE, syringes, Imitrex, Cafagot,etc.) I carry a note from my dr. saying that I suffer from Clusters and MUST carry this stuff.
I've had a CH hit in the middle of dinner and had to get back to the hotel where my meds were and had people actually get OFF the sidewalk when they saw me. But at the time I had one thing in mind - GET RID OF THE PAIN!
Just remember - WE CANNOT HELP IT! Hang in there. BD
