I agree with JOhn. We are both "human" again. for those who saw me a year ago, I'm a different woman now. I can actually make plans "ahead" of time and KEEP them now. During convention I took one hit of Ercaf and that was because I "thought" I might be going to have a CH - not after it hit. (Actually I think it was from looking at a slot machine too long, but why take the chance!)

Anyhow John and I talked about Topamax quite a bit. But a lot of guys there had never even heard of it yet and were skeptical. I think it's the greatest discovery since penicillin since NOTHING has worked for me since I started having CH and since I went chronic abso****inglutely NOTHING has helped until I found the Topamax (and I thank Joe Stone daily for posting about it). Since being on it I've had a few break thrus but not even a episode to speak of. This is over 9 months now. My drug bill has gone down a bunch. The only person who's upset is my pharamist and he's having to find someone else to make his house payments now.

I agree with JOhn - if nothing is working for you ASK your Dr. about Topamax and try it. What have you got to loose? But take enough to help - not the small dosages. Talk this over with your Dr. The ones I've talked to that it hasn't helped are the ones taking the smaller dosages. My neuro says the dosage has to be regulated to the HA. I've been going up and down from 200mg a day to 400mg depending on the weather. My neuro lets me do the regulating cause I can tell when I need more and when I need less.

Hugs BD
