I was recently diagnosed with CH. I have read through a lot of the messages posted to this board and am reasonably certain that the diagnosis is correct, given that it affects everyone differently. I consider myself fortunate in that so far I have not had any HAs that awakened me in the middle of the night. They are most severe in early afternoon. The HAs were most intense last week so I am hoping that I am on the downward side of the cluster.
Even so, while the HAs are becoming less severe, I have not been pain free for the last two weeks. I always have a mild HA in between the severe ones, and what is driving me crazy is that my eye won't stop tearing even after the severe HAs leave. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have tried using an over-the-counter eyewash solution of boric acid, and this provides some temporary relief, but the tears keep coming. The skin around my eye is also very tender because it is always moist. I would be grateful to hear your ideas.
