I started cycle this spring within hours of bringing moldy papers up from the basement to go through. I usually have my cycle in the fall. 5 years ago, before I was diagnosed with CH I went through a battery of tests etc., one of which was an allergy test. I tested positive for mold. The only correlation I or my doc could make at that time to the mold/headache thing was that I usually started a cycle when farmers were burning their fields. Doctor stated that alot of mold is carried through air at that time from the grain.
I am also curious about the mold/alcohol connection. Is not most alcohol fermented grain/fruit etc? How far from fermented is moldy?
Also on the Candida theory. I have put myself on a course of Acidophilus (sp) from time to time. Usually when depression/anxiety are wearing me down. Presently I have a rash of little water type blisters on my palms, they break, form a little scab and then the skin peels. These I usually get in the summer and have attributed them in the past to heat/stress/nerves etc. This is the worse outbreak I have had in years and I am certain now they are Candida related because they were so terribly itchy almost like an athletes foot or something. Anyway, there's my two (Canadian) cents.
