My hands first started going to sleep on me when I
was 27 and pregnant. I was tested for arthritis, and
yes, I have rheumatoid arthritis. Then it was a
retention of fluid that in addition to the arth. that
supposidly caused the hands to go to sleep, and hurt
like a tooth ache. I couldn't hold my hands above
my waist without this happening, and I had to sleep
with the offending hand dangling to the floor, over
the side of the bed.

Later on in years, I was told carpel tunnel was causing
it, and later still, when it started in the left leg
and ankle, it was sciatica.

I guess I'll never know for sure.
