I posted my first message a few days ago describing my dance with the demon and received many replies and helpful information and for that I thank all of you.
I am posting again because I told my regular doctor to refer me to a neurologist after reading numerous postings, which she did. My neurologist is a very understanding person. He was very concerned with relieving my pain and asked very in depth questions that my regular doctor didn't ask. My regular dr. had tried prescribing Imitrex tablets and nasal sprays, but those didn't help. I guess they didn't get into my system fast enough, but i told this to my neurologist (I even told him about this site) and he gave me some Imitrex injectables and told me to try those. Well, I has another bout with the demon the other night- a particularly bad one- and decided to try the Imitrex. I must say that I love this stuff now!!! I timed it. I took the shot at 10:30PM Friday night and by 10:37 the CH was gone!! Not a trace of it remained. It sure beats the hell out of the usual hour and a half to two hours of writhing around my bed cold, clammy, sweaty, hot, and wishing for death. Now, unfortunately, I am out of Imitrex. Thank God, I can call my neurologist tomorrow and get some refills. He also put me on some Topamax to try out, but i haven't really noticed a change yet.
Again, thanks to all of you, just for being here. If I knew anyone else that danced with the demon I would send them this way, but I am the only one in hell around here.
