I actually went through my delivery with just gas and air (the pethidin they thought I'd "benefit from as it's your first delivery" had worn off before I was even fully dialated!!!!). The midwives thought I was brilliant, I just said "this is NOTHING compared to clusterheadaches!" The looked at me as if I was nuts comparing delivering a baby to "just a headache"! Itwas very much a case of "oh sure, whatever works for you"!!
Even though I had a bad time during the delivery and everything went pear-shaped at the end, I would STILL go through that rather than CH!
