Now that there are over 10,000 messages archived here, it is no longer possible to retrieve the earliest messages... those from April of 1998.
This is because the message counter doesn't go higher than 10,000... when it the counter hit 10,001 it reset itself to 1. Now if you go to the archive for April 1998, click on message number 34, for example, you don't get the April 1998 number 34, you get the June 2001 number 34. Bummer.
Hopefully there is a workaround for this.
