I've never heard of Ryder's syndrome, but try
using a search engine, like Infoseek or any other
engine. You can find out anything on the net. Also, I
think you mentioned further diagnotic tests, which
are a good thing. You want to be absolutely sure
nothing else is going on.

As I mentioned in my e-mail to you, I've heard many
good things about lithium, so I'll keep my fingers
crossed that it works for you. Also, if you can get
your hands on a book called "Headache Help," by
Dr. Lawrence Robbins--it provides some excellent
information on clusters and drugs. Also, many of
the drugs in the section on migraines have a
bearing on clusters.

I find that I feel less out of control if I'm very
well informed. I've become a walking PDR, which
enables me to approach this more as a partner with
my doctor. Of course, I'm overjoyed when he mentions
a drug I'm unfamilar with, because that's one more
drug in my arsenal.

Oh, one other possibility is going to a major
headache clinic, like Diamond Headache Clinic in
Chicago. This is of course expensive, but it
still may be something to consider.

Take care. You're not alone in this.

Jackie
