If your sleep apnoe is mild, or if you don't even know you have it but wake up unrefreshed, you may want to try the special nose plaster. Athletes use them too for more oxygen. 3M markets them and they used to be called Breathe Right. They stick on across your nose and the rigid back lifts the nostrils a tiny little bit so you get in more air.

Great when you have a head cold too. More comfortable than tennis balls or thumb tacks...
