My CH started at age 42. Before that no headaches or other symptoms but one strange thing that seems to be unique to me.
I am out of cycle, but it happened today. I had washed my hair and was busy around the house cleaning, etc. My wet head got colder and colder, althought the house was relatively warm (we don't run the AC full tilt). After a while my head hurt so much on both sides (especially behind my ears)that I had to stop working and apply some heat to stop the pain. It was not at all like CH.
It felt like my ears were frostbitten and a large vise was squeezing my whole head trying to crush my skull.
I wonder if anyone else has ever had anything like this???????
During a cycle I have to apply heat to sooth an attack. I simply cannot tolerate anything cold near my face, head, or ears.
Do you suppose this has to do with constriction and dilation of blood vessels?
These non-Ch headaches used to plague me in the winter as a child if I forgot to keep my ears warm.
