Haven't posted in a while, kind of been scared to share my good news but my CH may be caused by neck problems. The pain clinic, associated with our local university, that I got my neurologist to refer me to, then referred me to a physical therapist. This physical therapist, Peter, and his partners are european trained in diagnosis and treatment and he thinks my pain stems from an OC-C1 chondropathy, or in English, the cartilage between the base of my head and the top of my neck has been totally squished. Only in this location would it cause the shooting pains to the left frontal lobe that I would get with my CH. The thing that made a believer out of me, and I say that with much trepidation, is that Peter has been able to recreate the CH and then with traction, and opening up the joint, wash the pain away again. Let me tell you it has been amazing. I have been able to taper my prednisone which has been on ongoing battle for me for 18 months, I'm totally off my neurontin and I haven't had anything greater than a 4 in probably 3 weeks. So, in answer to your question, I'd say it's worth looking into. Good luck.
