Hi, this past cycle started shortly after I over-extended in reaching for something. I got what I called a "stinger" in my neck. The aura or shadow-land started shortly after with CH attacks about two weeks after the stinger. The stinger happened in April and I have had CH ever since. HA starts in neck and explodes into the right side of my head. I have had clusters for 16 years and have noticed this before. I have gone for Chiropractic treatments. Some seemed to ease the pain ... some actually intensified the pain. In the end, I still don't know why, if they are caused by some sort of neck problem, clusters simply go away all of the sudden. But like you, I experiance the start of my HA at the base of my skull and I do suspect that something going on in the neck can trigger not only a HA but a cycle. ... steve
