Jen:

First let me say WELCOME!! Not to the fact that you have headaches but to people like yourself!! Clusters can and do happen during sleep. You probably can remember that you were dreaming and suddenly you were awakened with pain. I bet you can even remember what you were dreaming!! It's happened to me a lot as most expectly it has with other cluster heads. I'm curious, what meds are you using? In an earlier post I believe you mentioned Imitrex. Are you taking any preventatives? Diet can also play a role as can hormones and female cycles although by in large you cannot predict an attack, when, how, why, what caused it, etc. I've seen here on the board where some Doc's have people take Amerge (naratriptan) for 7 days and then stop. May I ask? How old? Were here for you Jen. Don't hesitate to ask for help!!

Phil
