I am nearing 57 yrs. and have been suffering form these "suicide headaches" for 30 yrs. My kids were irritated to the max when I would have an attack. I call them "suicide headaches" because I would get them so bad that I would actually think that suicide was viable option. I think the kids just didn't know how to help and it frustrated them. I felt extra bad when I got one around them. Stay with your dad ask him questions after the headache is gone and he can write it down in a journal. w
When did it start, what were the first signs, how long did it last where was the pain centrally located. Track them for a month or so and bring this valuable information to a qualified neurologist who speacializes in cluster migraines like Dr. Louis Reik of the Uconn Medical Center in Farmington, Ct. He has helped me emmensely.
