I just got off prednisone after being on it for 8 weeks. I'm a big fat cow! It does prevent me from having clusters but I don't know if the side effects I have are worth it. Besides the weight gain and puffiness, sweating, moody, sleeplessness, too much energy. I think I'm just going to try abortive methods on my next cluster cycle. Steroids are terrible for your body and can have long term effects. Doctors want to prescribe them for everything from skin problems to breathing problems.
