The last MRI showed I had had a couple of minor strokes sometime in my life. But I am 59, started CH at 42, and do not know whether the strokes were simply age-related or had some connection to CH.
So far I have not read any posts here that say anyone had a stroke because of CH. I don't imagine they are related. But could we be more vulnerable to a severe reaction to the pain of CH as we age?
That sounds like a good question for the researchers.
Too, my daddy died of a massive stroke. Mother said he came in from the yard, said he had a bad headache. She was in the shower and hollered to him to take some aspirin. When she got out and went to check on him his pain was very intense and pretty soon he lost consciousness. The ambulance people and docters were summoned right away, but he died a couple of days later. He had never had more than a mild headache before.
