I tend to find that prednisone is one of the first things a doctor who doesn't know what the hell else to do will give you, as a trial preventative, and in combo with something else, which could be anything.
My last prescription of prednisone was combined with 2mg sansert ( I don't recall the pred dosage ), and within a week the sugar-plumb fairies were suggesting all kinds of wonderfully psychotic things to me, like touching third rails, jumping out of windows, and shooting babies. Facetiousness? NO. By the grace of good sense I avoided murdering myself or anyone else long enough to let the doctor know that I was already as bi-polar as Harvey Dent, and should never have been prescribed the stuff.
He refilled my sansert ( which I never got all of and the pharmacist still owes me 38 pills )and just went on with that as if going along with the joke, since the headaches came back eventually.
Did any of it work?
