About O2 (oxygen):
I carry a little E size bottle in the truck. It's a little bulky but I gotta know it's close.
You mentioned lung scarring. That concerned me also so I took the advice of some of the smart guys here and got a humidifier bottle for my tank. It cost a whole $5 and took one minute to put on. So now I gotta have the tank upright when I travel.
I sure hope I don't get slammed with that tank in the cab next to me.
Non-rebreather mask: Yep that's the way to go.
